Jake Luxemburg is in his 21st year officiating over Bar and Bat Mitzvah services and tutoring Hebrew and torah studies. Jake started tutoring in High School when he was part of the Peer Tutoring program at Kingston High School. He graduated Pace University, Summa Cum Laude (1998), and earned his CPA License (2000). He was brought into the family business with his father-in-law/certified teacher Gary Chattman, who had over 50 years of experience in the field. They started The Supertutors soonafter.
“Not only have I enjoyed preparing students for Bar/Bat Mitzvah, this career has also allowed me the flexibility to be a stay at home dad during the formative years of our son's upbringing,” Jake says with pride.
Fun fact: Jake advanced to the Quarterfinals of ESPN 2 Minute Drill Game Show.

During Covid, I have visited my students to check in on them and to drop off sweets for a job well done. It's very important to connect with my students even during the difficult times. They are resilient.
It’s not uncommon for friendships with my students and their parents to last long after the services have taken place.
